Delete it yourself
- Your vox or gslk account: open your account settings in the product and choose to delete the account. Your profile, memberships, any right to edit a single event, and sign-in are removed straight away. Accounts on q, scito and mag are deleted on request — see "Everything else" below.
- An event registration (vox): every vox email contains a link to download or delete your registration data for that organiser.
- A newsletter (vox): every newsletter has an unsubscribe link; it stops the e-mails at once. To have your address and the record of your consent erased as well, ask the organisation that sends the newsletter — its administrators can erase them with one action — or write to us and we pass your request on.
Data held by an organisation
Registrations, form answers, newsletter sign-ups, poll votes, chatbot conversations, club memberships and similar data belong to the organisation that collected them; it is the controller. Ask that organisation first — it decides and can act fastest. Who may edit one of an organisation's events is also its decision: ask it to remove your access. If you write to us instead, we pass your request on and help it answer.
Everything else
For accounts on q, scito or mag, waitlist sign-ups, messages you sent us, or anything else you cannot delete yourself, email hello@aeratus.app with the subject "Data deletion" from the address the data is linked to. We answer within one month.
What we keep, and why
- Billing and accounting records: 10 years, because Lithuanian accounting rules require it.
- Security and audit records: up to 24 months; rate-limit records no longer than 12 months.
- Email delivery logs: up to 12 months.
- AI usage metering (who used which AI feature, when, and how much): 24 months.
- Event registrations in vox: anonymised 24 months after the event at the latest, unless the organiser agreed another period with us.
- Content you created inside an organisation's workspace: it stays with that organisation, which decides about it.
- Invitations to edit a vox event (the invited e-mail address, who invited and when): deleted no sooner than 30 days after the invitation was accepted, cancelled or expired — when the next invitation to the same event is made — or when the event or the organisation is deleted. There is no scheduled deletion, and deleting your account does not remove the record, so write to us if you want it gone sooner.
- Newsletter sign-ups (vox): the organisation keeps your address, with a note that you opted out, so that it does not mail you again, until it erases it. A sign-up nobody confirmed gives no permission to send anything, but there is no automatic deletion of it yet, so it can stay until it is erased; write to us if you want it gone sooner.
- Poll votes (vox): a vote is kept with its poll — the answer chosen and a vote key (a hash of the network address, or the account identifier of a signed-in voter), never your name or e-mail — until the organisation deletes the poll or its event, or the organisation is deleted. Deleting your account does not remove a vote cast while signed in; write to us and we remove it.
- Backups: deleted data leaves our backups when they expire, within 7 days.
Signing in with Facebook or Google
If you signed in to an aeratus product with Facebook or Google (where we offer it), deleting your account also deletes what that provider shared with us — an identifier, your name, email and picture. You can also remove our app in your Facebook or Google account settings. To have that data deleted without deleting your account, email us as above.
