1. Who we are
Aeratus ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data processed via this website. Aeratus is based in Kaunas, Lithuania. You can reach us at hello@aeratus.app for any privacy question or request.
2. What data we collect
- Waitlist email address. If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can contact you about our launch.
- Basic usage and analytics data. When you visit the site we may collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and pages viewed. Where this identifies you, it is used only in aggregate to understand traffic.
- Information you send us. If you email us or otherwise contact Aeratus, we keep your message and reply so we can help you and keep a record of the exchange.
Aeratus is pre-launch. We do not run user accounts or a production application yet, so we do not collect user-generated content, files, or organizational data at this stage.
3. How we use your data
- To notify you when Aeratus opens, and to send occasional updates about the product.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
4. Legal bases under GDPR
We rely on the following legal bases in Article 6 GDPR:
- Consent — for adding you to the waitlist, sending marketing emails, and for non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing).
- Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, understand aggregate usage, and reply to enquiries you send us.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable law.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are always on; analytics and marketing cookies run only with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for details, and use "Cookie settings" in the footer to change your choice at any time.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers acting as processors on our behalf, under written agreements that require them to protect it. Typical categories include:
- Website and email hosting providers.
- Email delivery for waitlist and transactional messages.
- Privacy-respecting analytics tools.
We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
7. International transfers
Some of our processors may be located outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards under GDPR — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your data.
8. Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until Aeratus launches and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them. Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of the exchange, and then deleted. Analytics data is kept in aggregated or short-lived form.
9. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (rectification).
- Ask us to delete your data (erasure / "right to be forgotten").
- Restrict how we process your data.
- Receive your data in a portable format (data portability).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Lithuania, that is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija — VDAI, vdai.lrv.lt).
10. How to exercise your rights
Email hello@aeratus.app from the address you used to contact us, and tell us which right you want to exercise. We aim to respond within 30 days. See also our Data Deletion page for erasure requests specifically.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Aeratus evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page, and — for material changes — take reasonable steps to inform you.
