How to report
Email hello@aeratus.app with the subject "Illegal content notice". Include:
- the exact web address (URL) of the content;
- why you believe it is illegal or breaches our Terms — the more specific, the faster we can act;
- your name and email address — you may leave these out only if the report concerns one of the child sexual abuse or exploitation offences in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your notice is accurate and complete.
Content on an organisation's page (an event, a form, a club website) is published by that organisation. You can also contact it directly; it can often act fastest.
If you hold rights in a work (copyright, trade mark), identify the work and the infringing copy, and confirm that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
What happens next
- We confirm receipt by email.
- A person reviews your notice diligently and objectively. We do not use automated decision-making.
- If we restrict the content, we send the person who published it a statement of reasons when we impose the restriction, and in any event within one working day, together with how to contest the decision.
- We tell you what we decided and what redress is available.
- If the content suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the police immediately.
Contesting a decision
If we removed your content or restricted your account, reply to our statement of reasons or write to hello@aeratus.app within 6 months. Where possible, a person who did not take the original decision reviews it. As a micro enterprise we are not required to run an internal complaint-handling system (Articles 19 and 20 of the Digital Services Act); we offer this review voluntarily. You can also go to court.
Misuse
After a warning, we may stop handling notices from someone who repeatedly sends manifestly unfounded notices.
